Submitting to the unintelligible

Arrived just after 5 o'clock. Surprised at how light it was, even though cloudy. Southerly breeze (frontal), prohibiting use of umbrella, Leaving me open to view. First walker at about seven.

Behind me, on the head of the dike, sheep were busily grazing. Now and then some bleating, cannot figure out what provokes it. Just as I was installed, a fox ran a circle on the beach. Had obviously missed his prey, a curlew (I think). Lots of hares, too.
